Some foreigners may extol China’s handling of the global financial crisis, but Mr Wen has stuck to his guns. The phrase even crops up in China’s recently adopted five-year economic plan, standing out as an indirect admission of the failings of his own administration and as a marker for the next. For all its problems, China in the coming 10-15 years is still likely to reach several symbolic milestones. The IMF predicts that in 2016 it will become the world’s largest economy on a purchasing-power-parity basis. The Economist Intelligence , a sister organisation of this newspaper, reckons that on the basis of market exchange rates China will attain that glory in 2020. "We're paying zero, nada." Nothing for the use of this two-bedroom condo with a gourmet kitchen and a table big enough for the entire family to gather around."Everybody for themselves." That's because the owners Judy and David are staying at the Billings'home in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. "We hope they are on the balcony, enjoying a cocktail or a Pepsi, and just having a grand old time." Home exchanges are becoming a popular and economical way to travel. "Exchange. What is that? We switch houses, cars, everything. I haven't done it before but friends of mine have." "Where are you?" In the movie The Holiday, Kate Winslet swapped her quaint English cottage for a Hollywood mansion. "The word is getting out, especially in this economy, that this is the way to vacation like there's no recession."Here's how it works: You pay a small fee to join a home exchange site, list your home, then search for places you want to visit. On HomeExchange.com, there are 27,000 listings in 120 countries, homes in Greece and Ireland, Thailand, and the Canary Islands. The Billings are on their seventh home exchange. "Maybe the first time we were a little bit apprehensive, second time may be a little bit apprehensive, but after that it's… just a regular thing and we don't worry about it any more."In fact they are aly planning their next trip. Business Bulletin The latest in business news with the CNN.com business bulletinToday's closing bell marked the end of the first quarter on Wall Street. And as Stephanie Elam reports from our Business desk in New York. It wasn't a good one, was it Steph? No, no, it wasn't, Reggie. And I hate to say that 'cause I feel like I always start over the negative news but it's the case on this one, it just was not a good first quarter. During the 3 months of 2008, the market was driven lower by the housing crisis then there was that credit crunch and growing fears of a recession. So for the quarter, the DOW Industrials fell more than 7%, NASDAQ lost about twice as much and the broader Samp;P 500 lost nearly 10%. Now also impressuring the markets this quarter were rising oil prices. However, today, erase, oil actually erased much of those gains, tumbling 4 dollars to settle at 1.58.So, to take a look at the stock markets from today, look at those numbers, here we go. The DOW, on the upside, by 46 points at 12262, gain of little more than a third of a percent. NASDAQ, up 17 points at 2279 and that is a gain of about 3 quarters and the Samp;P 500 up a little more than 0.5%, Reggie. This next story is interesting to me. Because it goes to the heart of the matter, where these companies now see the money, because people are kind of maxing out their credit cards, then they have to obviously find a new market, and that new market, it's the young, right?Oh yeah, I don't know if this, this. Maybe this didn’t happen when you were in college. But when I was there, there were definitely tables and (Oh please, free T-shirt) get a free T shirt, sign up for a credit card. Why was that so exciting? And it, kids got... Why was that exciting? I have no idea. But it was exciting. People love getting it.Maybe I'm old now, because a T-shirt doesn't excite me. But I remember back in the day, people were pretty excited about the T-shirt. But this is in fact the new trend here. Not new, but a bigging, a growing trend here, it's a bigger trend. Some credit companies might see college kids as their golden goose. A study released by US Public Interests Research Group shows that 76% of students say credit cards have been marketed to them on their college campuses. The companies often set up tables on or near campus and lure students with free gifts like those T-shirts and frisbees and candy and pizza. All things you don't need probably at that age. And in some cases, even iPods. And all you have to do is fill out an application. There are about a dozen states that have restrictions on credit card marketing on campuses. But the report shows that the companies have become more aggressive, often calling or even emailing students, but it's not just the credit card companies that are to be blame here. Many colleges' webs, actually partner with the banks to issue code-branded credit cards or ID cards that double as debit cards .Some schools defend these partnerships as a way to offset cuts in state funding, Reggie. But obviously, I remember at my school they were just off campus but still everyone walked by themselves. So there was easy access.Oh really? They weren't off campus at mine. They were right in the student center!Like Hello!Yeah, come spend money. I mean, you know that, obviously kids don't really have a lot of money when they are in college. Or most kids don't. So why are the credit cards companies going after with such gusto, these college students.Well yeah they may not have a lot of money but they do have a lot of wants, and probably need at that age too. So there’s money to be made. And you know, a lot of these college students usually don't have financial ties, meaning that once they set out signing up for a credit cards through a certain bank, it's more likely they will go back to the same provider when they need a car loan or savings loan. So it kind of engenders some sort of loyalty, Reggie.I, well, I think that's, in my case, that was true actually .They got me right in the beginningAnd you probably still have that frisbee up the other wall. And that T-shirt somewhere!Yeah!Well , let's talk about there was a major deal that was announced today in the music world that gives a company that actually have not really had its hands in that much, prior to this, it really gives them a lot of power.Oh yeah, Irish rock band U2 has agreed to a twelve-year contract with concert promoter Live Nation. The move gives Live Nation control of U2's concerts, their merchandise and U2 website and fan-club. Live Nation which operates more than 100 concert venues around the country is ending its relationship with Ticket Master at the end of the year in order to compete with the ticket giant. Over the past few years, Live Nation has actually acquired several companies which run websites and create merchandise for artists. And last year, it signed a 10-year, 120 million-dollar deal with the Material Girl. That’s right Madonna was the one they got on there.Yeah so I mean everyone's jumping on the Live Nation bandwagon. I'm so glad that you wanna talk about Madonna.Ha, I always find a way to throw in some pop for you, Reggie.Thank you so much, yeah, I am listening to the new single I heard it's good, I haven't heard it yet.You gotta get it.But there's probably a different discussion that we will have to have somewhere else.Ok, could you work it into some business report this week? We'll get to that.OK I'll work on it.Alright, thanks Stephanie, see you later.Bye!

江西省南昌/同济整形医院纹眉毛多少钱Pakistan and China巴基斯坦与中国Sweet as can be? Even an all-weather friendship has limits May 12th 2011 | BEIJING AND ISLAMABAD | fromThe Economist print edition Come rain or shine风雨无阻PAKISTAN’S ambassador to Beijing, Masood Kahn, was this week fully armed with metaphors to describe the robust friendship between the two countries. “We say it is higher than the mountains, deeper than the oceans, stronger than steel, dearer than eyesight, sweeter than honey, and so on.” The relationship is indeed a geopolitical keystone for both countries. Pakistan serves as China’s closest friend both in South Asia and among Islamic countries. So close, indeed, that many suspect China has asked Pakistan for the valuable remains of the American stealth helicopter abandoned during the bin Laden raid. Meanwhile, China can help counterbalance Pakistan’s arch-rival, India, including in Afghanistan. Pakistan seems keen to foster the impression that new tensions with America might nudge it even closer towards China. In his blustery speech to parliament on May 9th Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani struck out on an odd tangent to praise China as an “all-weather friend”, providing Pakistan with strength and inspiration. Not to be outdone, President Asif Zardari issued an effusive statement of his own about a friendship “not matched by any other relationship between two sovereign countries”. 201105/136856 bad girls good Showbiz Tonight's AJ Hammer and Brooke Anderson reveal the ways some of Hollywood's most notorious woman are becoming good girls.Hello, there, I’m Watt Anderson and welcome to the showbiz tonight’s potcast. Now this is where we go inside Hollywood figure story. Right now bad girl gone good. Paris could learn a lesson or two from her frenemy Nichole Richey. She recently told People Magazine that motherhood has changed her life for the better saying,” Now that I look back on it, I was a different person last year than I’m now.” And listen sometimes I will be here and I'll think to myself I used to be fun, What if I’m not fun anymore? I have all those feelings but you know what, I am who I am and I’m still fun, just not in that way. Well, it's good to see this bad girl turned good. And She is not the only one. Think about all the bad girls out there in Hollywood who turned their life around for the good. I’m talking Madonna,Angelina Jolie,Mary J. Blige, Fergie. So how bad did they get before they turned it around and how did they do it? Showbiz tonight’s AJ Hammer investigate bad girls gone good. They wrote a book on being naughty, sexy, talented women who pushed the limits of being bad in their youth, but matured into some of the most respected women in Hollywood. Marie J blige had one of the most extraordinary and public transformations from bad girl to good. “That’s a celebration of the growth that I've made the growth that all my fans and all of us who have you know have made together.” She’s the Grammy Award-winning, reigning queen of hip-hop and soul. But this diva battled a hard-core addiction to drug and alcohol . “She’s talked with me once about it .She would just like guzzle gin as soon as she came off stage, you know, she was smoking weed um, we, she’s doing coke…” Her transformation came when she met her current husband Kendu Isaacs. She tells Showbiz tonight he saved her life. “My husband definitely came into my life and help me out, you know, save me.” Even better, Blige turned her heartache into another reason she's so beloved. “She, you know, sort of like worked all this into her art, the sort of. The turning point song for her was really a moving ballad called No More Drama.” (Music) “Here’s J's spiritual journey in her life is reflected in her music and I think the audience responds to that as much as they responds to her voice.” Another of showbiz tonight’s favorite bad girls gone good. (Music) Fergie, who battled a serious Crystal Meth addiction before she made it big in Black Eyed Pea. “Well, the funny thing with Fergie is a little different, because most of her bad girls stuff was before she was really in the public eye. I mean she was a child star,er,I mean, stars overstated” Yeah, that might be overstating it. Fergie was a regular on that old 80’s kids show “kids-incorporated”. It was later when she was in her first real girl group Wild Orchids that things got interesting. “She started you know like taking a lot of ecstasy. She was going out to the clubs all the time and she got seriously addicted to Crystal Meth” She says kicking the habit was the hardest boyfriend she ever had to break up with. “She’s been through some hard times. But you know she’s perhaps had the sort of wild, raunchy past. But, you know, she is like a little more in control now.”02/61793南昌省中医医院美容中心景德镇中医院治疗狐臭多少钱
